CHANGING YOUR DESKTOP WALLPAPER

7 July 2008 - Submitted by SRBACE

Here we will go over two simple ways to change your desktop wallpaper. There are other ways but this is just a general instructional to help new users.

  • First go to your start button (Usually bottom left of your desktop)
  • Scroll up to settings(This is in most versions of windows)
  • Find the link to control panel. This will open a window with many computer options.
  • Find the icon labeled display. This will open a smaller window that will have the tabs Background, Screen Saver, appearance, Effects and Settings.
  • Second you can right mouse click on the desktop and click on properties this will take you straight to the display tabs.
  • You will stay at the background tab. You have two choices from here. The pattern or the wallpaper tab are your choices.
  • If you choose not to use the wallpaper you can adjust your pattern to give you some texture to your background screen.
  • You will see several choices for wallpaper to choose from.
  • By clicking one of these you can see a preview of it in the window you have open. If you do not find one you like then there is a browse button to browse to other folders which you may have your own pictures.
  • After finding the picture you want you should have the choices of Tile, Center or Stretch so you may fit your wallpaper to your screen.
  • If you have any questions about this article please feel free to contact us with your questions. We will do our best to help.
